THE SPANISH IMMERSION SCHOOL
OF THE LOWCOUNTRY
Reggio Emilia's approach to education inspires the Spanish Immersion Preschool at Lowcountry Language Academy. Our teachers incorporate science, technology, engineering, art, and math (S.T.E.A.M). We emphasize learning through exploration and language immersion in a creative environment. All hands-on activities are designed to cultivate a higher level of thinking while increasing confidence and creativity.
ACADEMIC YEAR
Lesson plans that offer outdoor activities to give students a head start in STEAM; students explore their creative side with our selection of arts and music supplies. Students will find art easels and panels, sidewalk chalk, chimes, and rain drums to develop their love for art and music in our indoor and outdoor areas. The playhouse, pretending to play with toys and puppet theaters, will encourage communication and problem-solving skills; our project-based program fosters your child's growth throughout all developmental domains—physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and artistic.
Our English-Spanish reading curriculum covers early reading, from learning the names of each letter and the sound that represents it to identifying sight words in both languages.
The Spanish Immersion Preschool encourages students to explore various centers promoting arts, literacy, math-sciences, and motor skills while learning Spanish meaningfully. At the end of the year, you will receive a beautiful book with all the artwork your child has completed.
Our integrated curriculum encourages the students to explore math, science, social studies, art, and literacy, helping the children understand their world and inspire curiosity.
Our daily schedule ensures a balance between teacher-guided activities and individual exploration. Our passionate teachers incorporate the Spanish language and culture with your children's interests through fun and engaging hands-on activities.
